Even when a customer falls in love with a particular design and asks us to recreate it, the new version will never be identical to the first. Why? Because glaze firing is a chemical reaction — and every firing is a little bit different. The kiln, the temperature shifts, and the way the glaze interacts with the clay all combine to create subtle variations in color, texture, and finish. It’s part science, part art, and part magic.
